Cowdrey won the toss & chose to bat. A good opening partnership by Alex Park (Parky) 19, and Chris Brown (CJ) 14, was capitalized by Rex Boulter (13). Then came top scoring Ross Pilkington (36), including the first 6 of the season. Fredy Hoare was a little unlucky to go for 13 and Conor Skillen & Sam Denton remained at the crease to the end.

This left Linden Park a daunting target of 141 to win. A valiant effort by Dan Corner (53 retired) took them to a total of 89-4. Ed (Woody) Harris took 2 wickets, Ali Gullan did an awesome run out, hitting the stumps directly from some distance & Fredy (new boy) Hoare took a wicket on his first ball.
