Good win for Cowdrey
Tunbridge Wells won the toss and decided to bat on this uneven wicket. Luke Brame struck in his second over, with Harrison Baker taking the catch to remove one of the opening pair. For a while, it looked as though the opposition might accumulate a good score, but then Ben Browning and Chris Corbett bowled a devastating spell, Ben taking four for eleven and Chris three for five, including two stumpings by team captain Alex Howard. Ali Gullen and Ollie Shimmin also took wickets, both catches from Kyle Walker, leaving Tunbridge Wells all out for 74 runs.
James Skidmore and Alex Howard put on 28 in seven overs for the first wicket, but when Skiddy, Ben Browning and Ollie Markides lost their wickets in quick succession the runs dried up for a while. Then Ollie Shimmin and Alex began to hit out, bringing victory within reach, and it was left to Ali G and Kyle Walker to knock off the last few runs and earn Cowdrey a bonus batting point.
Well done Cowdrey – back on the winning track!
